The Watkins Glen Drivers Walk of Fame was established in 1993 by the Watkins Glen Historic Racing Committee with support from the Schuyler County Chamber of Commerce and Watkins Glen International to honor the drivers who have competed on the Glen’s world-famous circuit since 1948. The International Motor Racing Research Center helps the Historic Racing Committee develop the inscription for the Walk of Fame markers.
A fun rallye with simple gimmicks. This is not a traditional “TSD” (Time-Speed-Distance) event! All Glenora Run (Pre-1986 vehicles) START from Glenora Wine Cellars, and will park in downtown Montour Falls for a quick static display for Montour Falls residents to enjoy. The official start to a day of racing includes a tech inspection of the race car. Smalley’s Garage was the site for Tech Inspection from the very first race in 1948. Therefore, the way to start the day at the Grand Prix Festival of Watkins Glen is to visit Smalley’s Garage to observe the Tech Inspection reenactment for SVRA cars. Calling all Datsuns! 2026 is your year to join in the fun at the Grand Prix Festival. Park your Datsun with others right in the heart of downtown. Registration is $50 and includes downtown parking and Historic Grand Prix Circuit Laps.
The highlight of the festival: A non-competitive tour of the original 6.6 mile circuit designed to recreate the excitement of the original Watkins Glen street races. The event is open to selected historic and classic cars and selected historic motorcycles by special invitation only. We highly recommend lining up along the sidewalks earlier than 6:00 to get a good spot to see the action.
