A planning guide, not a guarantee

Deep in the Lakes provides editorial and automated planning information. Events, forecasts, road conditions, business hours, prices, reservations, trail access, water conditions, and safety guidance can change. Verify time-sensitive details with the official operator or appropriate public authority before traveling.

Maps and directions

Embedded maps and route summaries are planning aids, not turn-by-turn navigation. Follow posted signs, closures, access rules, and current navigation guidance. Typical drive times may not include live traffic, weather, construction, seasonal roads, towing constraints, or parking time. Google-powered route content is subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms.

Accounts, saved trips, and sharing

You are responsible for access to your email account and for reviewing any itinerary before relying on it. Saved trips are private unless you create a sharing link. Anyone holding an enabled sharing link may view the trip content, including personal notes included in that itinerary.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the site, attempt to bypass rate limits or access controls, scrape private content, probe other accounts, upload unlawful material, or use automated access in a way that disrupts the service or creates unreasonable third-party API costs.

Purchases and external services

Shop purchases are processed by third-party payment and fulfillment providers and may be subject to their additional terms. Links to businesses, booking providers, event organizers, and other outside services do not make Deep in the Lakes responsible for those services.

Privacy and changes

The privacy policy explains how the site handles data. These terms may be updated as features and providers change; the date above identifies the current version.
